Science of paradigm change

Since we watch the everyday “layoff” phenomenon of our times, directly affected or not, we cannot stay passive about it. What? In the American Dream, we leave room for such bad news and do not react upon it?

Yes, I hear. There is various think tanks out there and community efforts to let people communicate their fears, what their talents are, where they are in their career and how they can stick to some consistency in their career path? But the market is changing. So what?

Very little I see about helping the laid off people to examine all the options that are available to them :

- open more options and network outside the usual comfort zone

- is there another profession I would like to do, I could do, I always wanted to do?

- what is the true supply/demand equation in my local market, my 20 miles radius area?

- is there something for me elsewhere even if I need to move?

- how long can I last without a job, how long to I have till the signal becomes red-dangerous? Can I put myself at-stake and move forward?

-do I have the proper circle of friends, former colleagues, to form the best network possible to get feedback and opportunities?

-do I have all the support I need while I search, and do I feel good within myself?

-do I need extra-training, new training to move from where I am to a new market where demand is higher?

The general conduct for job search has changed drastically. Not only people need to humble themselves and make compromises, but the whole paradigm for change becomes a challenging science for everyone.

So what can we do?

ADD THE ELEMENT OF TRAINING AND COACHING in your communities and group meetings. Have experts assess your talents and potentials, mentor each of you and assist you to prepare this new journey in your lives. It’s an opportunity for change. The Coach is an extraordinary resource to dig into your potentials and extend the limited scope of your current efforts. He / She can inspire all of you and provide the exact resources you need to accelerate the process, be more proactive rather than reactive, and establish with you a solid foundation for your next move.

Integrate Coaching for yourself and your community. Be disciplined about your future. Be responsible.
